Joe Cook collection, circa 1978-2000.

The collection consists of mostly material relating to the river trip and subsequent book. The bulk of it is printed matter that may have been used in research and concerns not only the Chattahoochee and Apalachicola Rivers and surrounding areas, but also other land and water issues. The original manuscript of River Song is also included. In addition there are several folders of letters received from schoolchildren, as they would often stop at towns and speak at schools. There is also a box of audio cassettes which contain music and interviews with people they met on the journey. Other materials included in the collection are a few other letters, notes, drafts, and photographs taken at the trip's end.
